Why Boulder City Residents Choose Us for ViewLux Service

ViewLux glass systems are a serious investment, and Boulder City homes put them through conditions you won’t find two towns over. We service ViewLux products regularly, so when a thermal seal fails on a window wall facing the McCullough Range, we don’t guess at the cause. We’ve taken apart enough tracks, gaskets, and glass units to know exactly what Southern Nevada heat does to them over time.

Nolan Briggs, our owner and general contractor, grew up near the Carey Avenue corridor in North Las Vegas and learned the trades through the building program at College of Southern Nevada before spending two decades on framing crews and project management across the valley. He founded Stonehall Construction to run jobs the right way, and that means telling Boulder City homeowners what’s actually wrong before reaching for a quote sheet. We’re an independent contractor, not affiliated with or authorized by ViewLux, and we’ll tell you that plainly.

Common ViewLux Construction Problems We Solve in Boulder City

Here’s what we see most often on ViewLux systems in Boulder City:

• Thermal seal failure on glass units. Boulder City summers push surface temperatures past what most sealants are rated to handle for years on end. The result is fogging or hazing between panes, which means the insulated glass unit has lost its seal and needs replacement, not just cleaning.
• Roller and track wear on multi-slide doors. Windblown dust from the dry lake bed and surrounding desert settles into ViewLux tracks, and every open-and-close grinds that grit into the rollers. Panels start binding, jumping, or dropping their latches. We replace OEM rollers and reset the track rather than masking the problem with lubricant that attracts more dust.
• Gasket and weatherstripping degradation. The dry heat here bakes rubber and vinyl seals until they crack and shrink. That lets dust in, drives up energy bills, and eventually compromises the frame seal. Replacing them with fresh OEM material tightens the system back up.
• Anchor and frame movement. Boulder City wind events push hard against large glass surfaces. Where slab or header deflection exists, we see ViewLux frame joints shift and reveal uneven gaps. That’s a structural issue, not a cosmetic one, and we address it before re-hanging panels.
• Frameless shower enclosure hardware failures. Hard water here, combined with the same dry heat, accelerates corrosion and wear on hinges, clips, and mounting points. We replace the hardware and re-align the glass before it becomes a safety issue.

ViewLux Service in Boulder City: What Local Conditions Mean for Your Project

Here’s a fact most contractors don’t mention: Boulder City’s historic-district construction rules and small-town inspection pace mean ViewLux glass and window work here often has to clear design-review and permitting steps that Henderson and Las Vegas jobs skip outright. A window wall replacement off Nevada Way may need design-review approval before we can even order glass. We schedule for that on the front end, not after the old unit is already out. On a job near the historic district off Nevada Way, our crew replaced a failing ViewLux multi-slide patio door whose rollers had seized from years of windblown grit and sun-baked gaskets. We swapped in OEM rollers and new weatherstripping, re-set the track, and the panels now glide one-handed again. That’s the kind of detail-oriented view Boulder City work demands, and it’s why we don’t treat this town like just another service stop.

ViewLux Models & Products We Service in Boulder City

We service the full ViewLux product range you’re likely to have in a Boulder City home: folding and accordion glass door systems, multi-slide patio door systems, aluminum-framed window walls, and frameless glass shower enclosures. Our parts approach is straightforward. We source genuine ViewLux OEM rollers, tracks, gaskets, and glass units whenever lead times are reasonable. Where OEM is unavailable or cost-prohibitive, we’ll tell you before we substitute quality aftermarket hardware, so you know exactly what’s going into your home. When a ViewLux system has repeated seal or hardware failures, we give an honest replace-versus-repair read rather than patching the same problem a third time. For all of our ViewLux sales & service work, that’s the standard.

FAQs – ViewLux Construction in Boulder City

Are you an authorized ViewLux dealer or manufacturer representative?

No. Stonehall Construction is an independent contractor that services ViewLux products. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorized by ViewLux. What that means for you is simple: we work for you, not a manufacturer. Our recommendations on repair versus replace are based on what’s best for your Boulder City home, not on moving product.

Do you use genuine ViewLux OEM parts?

Yes, whenever they’re available within a reasonable lead time. We source genuine ViewLux rollers, tracks, gaskets, and glass units directly. If OEM parts are backordered or no longer produced for an older system, we’ll tell you before we install any aftermarket alternative, and we’ll explain the performance difference.

Do you handle storm or wind damage to ViewLux exterior doors and windows?

Yes. We handle bowed frames, cracked glass, dropped panels, and seal failures caused by Boulder City’s high-wind events. We start with a structural check on the opening and header, then work through the ViewLux components. Call (833) 772-4634 and we’ll schedule an assessment.

How long does ViewLux service take in Boulder City?

Most window wall and multi-slide door repairs are completed in one to two days once parts are on hand. The variable is Boulder City’s historic-district review process, which can add permitting and approval time for exterior glass work. We’ll map out that timeline before we start so there are no surprises. For an exact window, call (833) 772-4634.

How much does it cost to fix a fogged ViewLux glass unit in Boulder City?

A failed thermal seal means replacing the insulated glass unit itself. Depending on panel size and whether adjacent panels are affected, budget $3,000 to $8,500 for a typical multi-slide door or window wall glass replacement. That’s our shower and window replacement range on the table above. Call (833) 772-4634 for a line-item quote specific to your system. Estimates are free.
