Kohler Construction in Nellis Air Force Base, NV
We’re an independent Kohler service provider working across Nellis Air Force Base, and the short answer is this: we handle Kohler fixture installation, repair, and full bathroom remodels, and what sets our work apart here is that we understand how Nellis AFB’s hard water and extreme temperature swings punish Kohler components. We’re not manufacturer-affiliated, and we don’t pretend to be. What we are is our General Contractor in Nellis Air Force Base, and we’ve torn apart enough Kohler cartridges, valves, and seat bolts in this specific zip code to know exactly what fails and why. Call (833) 772-4634 for a free estimate.
Why Nellis Air Force Base Residents Choose Us for Kohler Service
Nolan Briggs founded Stonehall Construction after spending two decades working framing crews and project management across the Las Vegas Valley. He grew up near the Carey Avenue corridor in North Las Vegas and never saw a reason to leave, so the company he built reflects that: we know these streets, these houses, and the particular ways plumbing fixtures behave in them. Kohler makes excellent products, but no fixture is immune to mineral-heavy water and 110-degree summers. Our team handles Kohler sales & service with the same accountability we bring to roof replacements and full additions: one point of contact, real OEM parts, and workmanship we’re willing to stand behind.
What you get with us is a crew that has already diagnosed your problem on a dozen other Nellis Air Force Base homes. That last part matters. Plenty of outfits will sell you a new faucet because it’s easier for them. We’d rather fix the cartridge and save you six hundred dollars.

Common Kohler Construction Problems We Solve in Nellis Air Force Base
- Ceramic cartridge failure causing phantom flushes. Kohler ceramic cartridges are precise, which means they’re also unforgiving. High-mineral water in Nellis Air Force Base builds scale on the cartridge surfaces, and before long the seal fails and the toilet runs intermittently or the faucet drips. We see this constantly. The fix is usually an OEM cartridge swap, not a new fixture.
- Memoirs toilet seat hinge bolt corrosion. The Kohler Memoirs line uses metal seat bolts that corrode under hard water and low humidity cycling. The bolts loosen, the seat shifts, and eventually the threads strip. Our team keeps replacement hinge assemblies ready for Memoirs models because this one is so predictable in the 89191 zip code.
- Kathryn shower valve O-ring wear. The Kathryn shower valve is smooth when it’s new, but the O-rings dry out and deform in the Nevada heat. That leads to temperature fluctuation mid-shower and, worse, slow leaks behind the wall that nobody notices until the drywall stains. We find this on Kathryn installations that are only three or four years old in Nellis Air Force Base.
- Devonshire sink pop-up drain assembly failure. Sediment and hard-water scale collect in the Devonshire pop-up mechanism until it won’t seat properly. The sink either won’t hold water or drains slow. It’s a small part, but it’s one of those annoyances that drives people to replace a perfectly good sink. We just replace the assembly and clean the scale out.
- Temperature fluctuations from worn valve seals. Not specific to one model, but every Kohler pressure-balancing valve eventually suffers here. Nellis Air Force Base water sits at the high end of the hardness scale, and that mineral load shortens seal life across the board. If your shower runs hot when someone flushes a toilet, that’s the valve telling you it needs work.
Kohler Service in Nellis Air Force Base: What Local Conditions Mean for Your Project
Nellis Air Force Base sits in a high-mineral water zone, and that fact alone explains more Kohler failures than anything else. The water here carries dissolved calcium and magnesium that most metro areas don’t deal with at anything like this concentration. Kohler ceramic cartridges, designed to tight tolerances, lose their seal quality when scale builds on the mating surfaces. The Memoirs toilet seat bolts corrode faster. The Devonshire pop-up assemblies clog sooner. Throw in summer temperature swings that bake fixtures in unconditioned spaces, and O-rings and rubber seals dry out years before their normal service life ends. Homeowners on Fitzgerald Avenue and throughout the base have dealt with these issues in homes that would perform fine in a softer-water city. What we do about it is twofold: we fix the immediate problem with OEM-quality parts, and we’ll talk to you about whether a whole-home water softener makes sense for your property. Nolan’s team has seen it before. Here’s how we fix it. The repair comes first, but the prevention conversation is part of every service call if you want it to be.
Kohler Models & Products We Service in Nellis Air Force Base
We work on everything Kohler makes for residential bathrooms and kitchens, but the models we see most in Nellis Air Force Base are the Memoirs, Santa Rosa, Kathryn, and Devonshire lines. The Memoirs toilet shows up in a lot of base housing and off-base rentals. The Kathryn shower systems are popular in mid-2000s remodels. The Devonshire and Santa Rosa lines cover a good chunk of the vanity and sink work we handle. For parts, our position is simple: we source genuine OEM Kohler parts from authorized distributors for anything safety-adjacent or aesthetically visible. For older Kohler models where OEM parts are discontinued, we offer quality aftermarket alternatives with a clear warranty, and we’ll tell you which is which before we order anything. We don’t hide parts sourcing.

FAQs – Kohler Construction in Nellis Air Force Base
Yes, in most cases the fill valve comes out through the tank opening without detaching the tank from the bowl. We do this regularly on Kohler Memoirs and Santa Rosa toilets in Nellis Air Force Base. If the tank bolts are corroded from hard water, removal gets trickier, but we handle that too. Call (833) 772-4634 for a free estimate.
The usual culprit here is a failing ceramic cartridge or a worn flapper seal, and Nellis Air Force Base hard water accelerates both. Scale buildup keeps the seal from seating, so water seeps through and the fill valve cycles endlessly. The fix is a cartridge or flapper replacement with OEM parts. Call (833) 772-4634 and we’ll diagnose it for free.
Yes. Slab-on-grade homes are the norm across Nellis Air Force Base, and we handle shower pan installation and drain relocation on concrete routinely. That’s part of our full bathroom remodeling scope. We’ll assess your slab, plan the drain, and quote the shower install as one line item. Call (833) 772-4634 to schedule the free estimate.
We stand behind our workmanship on every repair and installation. OEM Kohler parts carry their own manufacturer warranty, and our labor is covered as well. When we use aftermarket parts for discontinued models, we’ll tell you exactly what the warranty covers before we install anything. Call (833) 772-4634 for details on your specific fixture.
Turn off the water supply to that bathroom immediately, and call us. A leak behind the wall means the valve body or its O-rings have failed, and that’s a job for a professional with the right tools and the right parts. We’ve done this repair on Kathryn and Devonshire valves throughout Nellis Air Force Base. Call (833) 772-4634 and we’ll get it stopped before it takes out your drywall.
